Keynote Title: The God Who Sees: Hagar and the Call to Real Freedom
At HSLDA’s 2026 National Leaders Conference, Dr. Julie Armstrong will deliver the keynote message for the Ladies Luncheon, drawing from the story of Hagar to explore what it means to be personally seen, heard, known, and provided for by God. Through Hagar’s encounters in the wilderness, Julie will reflect on the character of El-roi—“the God who sees”—and the deeper freedom found not simply in changed circumstances, but in belonging to the God who calls us by name, opens our eyes to His provision, and leads us into life in Christ.
The message invites women carrying the responsibilities of leadership, service, family, and ministry to consider where God may be meeting them in places that feel overlooked, uncertain, or alone. Rather than offering a formula for escaping difficult circumstances, Julie will point toward a more enduring kind of liberty: the assurance that we are known by God, held within His purposes, and never beyond His sight or care.
